He has built his career on a solid academic background, holding a Diploma in Building from UiTM, followed by a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from USM, and a Master’s Degree in Building Technology from USM. His educational journey has equipped him with the technical knowledge and leadership skills necessary to manage complex construction projects effectively.

Committed to continuous learning and professional growth, Shaharin has completed several advanced courses in project management and construction. These include:

  • Project Management Course – Module 1 (Construction): Conducted by the Institute of Infrastructure Training and Development (Ikram).
  • Project Management Course – Module 2 (Contract): Also offered by Ikram, this course deepened his understanding of contract management in the construction industry.
  • Construction Management for Project Managers: A course organized by the National Institute of Valuation (INSPEN) that enhanced his capabilities in managing large-scale construction projects.
  • Project Management: An additional course from Ikram focused on refining his project management skills, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Shaharin’s career spans numerous significant projects across Malaysia, particularly in highway and infrastructure development. His hands-on experience includes:

  • North-South Expressway Project (Package 5B2 & 5B3): Managing sections from Permatang Pauh to Seberang Jaya, Penang.
  • North-South Expressway Project (Package 13B2): Overseeing construction from Yong Peng to Air Itam, Johor.
  • North-South Expressway Project (Package 13B3): Leading the development from Kulai to Sekudai, Johor.
  • Genting Highlands Apartment & Car Park 4 Project: Contributing to the construction of residential and parking facilities at this iconic location.
